Finding our hidden treasure
We have a choice: We can deepen our spiritual practice or we can keep living today’s life in each of our tomorrows.
Many people will find this to be an absurd statement but I’m pretty sure that most of them aren’t reading this.
Spirituality has the power to nurture and change us unlike any other force on the planet.
The Tao Te Ching is spiritual super food. Here are a few morsels for your ingestion:
Finding our still point: When the chatter of the mind quiets down, we find the still point around which all of life revolves.
Finding our hidden treasure: Following this path we are led to the inner treasure of our being. Our outer trappings remain simple so we are free to cherish our inner joy.
Finding joy: To gain joy in living we let life live itself. . . .
So in this practice we stop trying to change ourselves and find that we naturally change.
We stop trying to be good and find that goodness is our nature.
We stop trying to get rich, and find that our life is full of abundance.
We stop trying to get our own way and find that we enjoy our life.
Finding your still point, your hidden treasure, your joy. These are experiences that not only provide an oasis in your life, they also ready you to live and act with renewed energy and purpose.
The Tao invites you onto a path and into a practice that have stood the test of time. Alone we stagnate. With a guide like this book, and a community like the one I will be forming, the journey is so much easier and more inspiring.
