Be Tender & Gentle with Yourself

This is a time to be tender and gentle with yourself .

This is a time to have compassion for the scared, angry, confused, shame-filled parts of yourself that loudly rise-up when external circumstances seem to be spinning out of control.

This is the move the loving mother makes with the scared child. The simple, loving act of holding and reassuring. Can you embrace the scared or troubled child within you?

All it takes are few deep breaths. A gentle smile. A reminder to self through body, heart, and mind that says:

  • Relax.

  • You don’t have to work hard.

  • You are doing a good job.

  • You really are.

  • Love lives in and through you.

This tender, gentle reassurance is deep soul work. It reaches down into your inner resources and provides a healing touch. This simple work is life-changing.

This work is also a glimpse into the kind of process we will be exploring through my upcoming Sacred Journeys Group. Soul work is the focus of the 4th Journey.
